The highly-anticipated Call of Duty: Black Ops is set to arrive this November, and is expected to break numerous records upon launch. Call of Duty: Black Ops, the follow-up to last year’s record-breaking Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, is set for release on Tuesday, 9th November 2010, in most major territories simultaneously. With such grand anticipation for both the sales of the game and the content within, Treyarch have had their work cut-out to deliver a compelling experience on time. But, according to Olin, they’re right on track.
Call of Duty: Black Ops is a first-person shooter with stealth and tactical play aspect that puts players in the role of a shadow soldier fighting in a variety of historically representative fictional Black Ops missions of the Cold War era. Created with the input of actual Black Ops soldiers from the time, the game mixes traditional Call of Duty tactical shooter gameplay with new gameplay options designed to expand the players’ experience. Additional features include extensive multiplayer options, along with new vehicles and explosive new weapons.

Treyarch is diving into the social media and networking scene as they will allow gamers to take screenshots as well as record videos from multiplayer matches. Other things that will help Black Ops become an even bigger success than Modern Warefare 2 is the fact that the game now features a ballistic knife weapon that allows players to throw blades at enemies quickly and easily; features a radio-controlled RC car strapped with explosives which will allow you to attack unsuspecting enemies; a Camera Spike that allows players to keep some areas under surveillance; and when a 5 Kill Streak is reached, you can get hold of a controllable missile, which unleashes massive destruction on the battlefield.
