Apple Announced its iPhone 4 iOS 4.1 Update Release on September 8

Apple announced that the update to iOS 4.1 will be coming next week – According to Apple’s UK website yesterday.

Apple iOS 4.1, is set to debut this coming Wednesday, September 8. iOS 4.1 is the first major update to iOS 4 and is expected to add a host of new features, including HD video uploading, HDR photography, and Game Center, a multi-player system. The software update is also expected to fix numerous bugs found in Apple’s iOS 4 operating system, including the proximity sensor and Bluetooth. Apple has since updated its web page to say “Coming Soon” regarding the iOS 4.1 software update.

The Apple iOS 4.1 is compatible with the iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G, although the multi-tasking feature doesn’t work on the iPhone 3G. It’s also compatible with the second-, third- and fourth-generation iPod Touch.
