August 8, 2010. At the time of this writing, we are 20 hours, 21 minutes, and 39 seconds away from “Smarter is coming” based on a countdown clock on SonyStyle.com. Actually, make that 28 seconds, 27, 26…you get the point.
And the speculation ends before it begins: The site’s “x10″-laden source code has revealed this to be, most likely, the upcoming Xperia x10, running Android.
The long awaited and much predicted launch is supposed to happen in conjunction with carrier partner AT&T, with previous reports indicating the X10 will cost $345(Check out new prices and buy it from Amazon) for independent dealers, although retail pricing is still unknown.
The countdown makes it seem like we could get word of an official XPERIA X10 launch tomorrow. The device has been available in Canada, the U.K., and Japan for a few months, but not in the U.S. That may change tomorrow.
