sony playstation 3

Sony announced two new PlayStation 3 models with a dramatic increase in storage capacity on Tuesday, including models with 160-Gbytes and even 320-Gbytes of capacity.

The first will be the 160GB model that will replace the current 120GB bundles that sell for $300. The price will remain the same, the only difference will be the increased hard drive capacity. The 160GB model is shipping now, and should be on shelves as soon as the current stock is sold through.

The second release is the 320GB PS3 Slim. The twist with this one is that the 320GB variant will only be apart of the PS3 Sports Champions Move bundle. For $399.99, buyers will get the console, one PlayStation Move motion controller, a PlayStation Eye camera, a copy of Sports Champions on Blu-ray disc, and a bonus Blu-ray game demo disc.

The new PlayStation 3 models retain all the changes and updates that came when the PlayStation Slim launched about a year ago.
