RIM – Research In Motion – is expected to unveil a new BlackBerry that analysts believe is key to the company’s future. Battling the iPhone from Apple and other new smartphones on the market, RIM’s new BlackBerry is expected to be a touch-screen device with a slide-out keyboard. Analysts are also watching to see if RIM gives a more detailed demonstration of its new operating system.
The touchdevice will run on A-T-and-T’s network and feature a pull-out keyboard and a new operating system to make Internet surfing faster. RIM released a touchscreen phone two years ago to mixed reviews and analysts have been asking when it will introduce an “iPhone killer.”
