any idea when the problem will be fixed?

this is not good that pof isnot working it is one of the best sites going this is an inconvience for your faithful users hope the proble, will be fixed very soon.

Met someone this week that I really hope to connect with but I have pof to contact her! Ugh…patience…

I was able to sign in this morning..so everything seems to be working just fine!!

I signed up Aug. 11, then moments later couldn’t sign on. I thought I did something wrong, so I created a second account. But I keep getting them same message:

“You can put your email address in the username field if the username doesn’t work
Make sure security settings are not set to high, if you are having problems logging in, also make sure your computer accepts all cookies.
Go to Tools, Internet Options, Privacy and set the bar to low in Internet Explorer.
Try this forum entry for more help.”

I have signed into POF before without any “security” changes but suddenly nothing works. Is this the same problem everyone else is having? If so, any news on when this will be fixed?

I’ve had a POF account for about 3 weeks now and for some reason my account has been deleted and it won’t let me re-register. Every time I try to register it’ll come up saying I’m attempting to register from a country that they don’t accept memberships from. I’m in the United States!
I finally found someone I’m interested in and then this happens. I’m beyond irritated this morning. What the heck is going on?

Can’t make an account. I’ve tried off and on for about a year to make an account there, but it never works. I fill out the registration form, enter the letters under the circles, click the check box thingy and click next step.

Only there is no next step, it just takes me back to that same page. No error messegas, nothing. All the info I fill in is still there, but I need to enter the letters under the circles thing again.

I tried this in both firefox, and IExplorer, same thing.

could this be the problem? and if so, why no friggin message of some sorts?

What a great site this was now your account dissapears you create a new one says message sent but they are not then you try to log in again hey presto your profile has gone again.Have sent various emails asking whats wrong and surprise surprise well not really no reply. what a waste of time if you cant sort it just close the whole thing down you could at least admit theres a problem and post a note on the site saying so instead of people wasting their time creating a worthless profile for a site thats isnt working sending messages to people who dont get them my advise to anyone reading this is dont bother. markus your site is not working why not admit it and put up a post??? how about replying to emails are you hoping it will solve itself?? basicaly admit theres a problem close it down get it sorted then reopen??

I can’t get logged in after spending hours taking assessment surveys and thinking it was going to be a good way to meet new friends!

I don’t see why people have problems registering, I’ve registered twice in 6 months without a problem, if you email ends in .ru, surely sensible thing to do is sign up a hotmail account that ends in .com and try again.

Countless people have reported leaving the free service POF ( a 2 person company) because they can’t access their IN-BOX… or they insist that ….. your password has expired ?????
and does not accept any NEW passwords….. !!!

talk about a negligent company !!!!
this has been going on for over 2 weeks.. we are now Jan 27th 2011
and they don’t care…..
and i have found several other sites that are better…
After telling them that i do IT myself… i have received 2 emails insulting me that i can’t basically use a computer … written probably by a young person that can’t spell or phrase a sentence correctly !!

I can’t login to my page…..why is that

I am on Guam and i signed up for POF early last year, no problem. Got rid of my account eventually and now i wanna get back on… Problem is that when i register it acts like it works but then it says i can only register in certain countries they have listed. GUAM IS A US TERRITORY!!!!!! and i have friends from Guam on there… and i’ve signed up while on Guam on once before!!!

Any ideas out there?

I’ve had tone of problems with this site. Problems like not being able to log in and it saying my email account doesn’t exist, so I try to make a new account with A COMPLETELY NEW EMAIL ADDRESS and it tells me that my email is already in use??? This site has really gone downhill.

I wrote before & noticed there are more problem with PoF than most realize. When I complained 3X….My profile was deleted-with no reason given. These sites should be monitored. I believe this Markus guy is a liar. He makes his bucks like google does, by letting advertizers scan the private emails to find what they can sell to others. I register twice, with the same info. repeated that they had a technical problem,which now, I`m finding that is is very, very prevalent. LOGINS!! You can`t. If I asked why can they send me an Email, saying “wecome”, then say they don`t have my email in their data base, & won`t accept my PS. —I`d say it was definately a tehnical proble!!!! Instead they use the “TERMS & CONDITION” -prtective guide..like heg-hogs that live under trailers, to delete people, because they don`t want to take care of their user problems. When some signs in (& can,that is)-they are referred to the chek your mail place, not “LOGIN”—why? Isn`t there supposed to bea Home Page, that you can check what you want. Markus has been in his early 30`s for more than a decade,now,& says HE is the only onethat can answer any questions, so he`s overwhelmed & can`t according to the too volumed users. -But that isn`t so….because my emial that said I was deleted, no reason has to be given, they said….signed by the “POF TEAM”…where`d they come from, if Markus is the sole worker?????? Just between us…I think it`s because I`m not intriguing enough. hmmmm- I`m 77, want someone younger by 6-10 yrs, that can funtion, & I am a vintage cougar. -CAN THAT BE THE REASON??????

pof chat is not working

I have been having trouble for the past week even trying to get onto pof? Most of the time the website will not even open

I use plenty of fish but I have a hard time finding the site to simply get in to see my messages. I go to login in or sign in and I get alot of information I don’t need. I simply would like to just login in. How about a site that says Plenty of Fish username and password. Thank you Nan

Once again I cannot log into POF on my PC or my MAC. Both respond that the “server is not responding”. This is frustrating since I have a “message waiting”. Unfortunately, the inability to log in is not an uncommon one in my experience with POF and I am considering going to another service.

POF has no tech support, e-mails won’t be answered, the methods are very primitive, and a profile will be deleted with a proper explanation. Someone makes a ton of money off advertising, but now it has grown and is over their heads. They have no clue how to maintain or update this site.
