Windows 7 is not much chance of the tablets, without a corresponding change. They know about Centric UI specialists who work on a project called kodowo Macallan.
What is a Macallan? This is nothing like an overlay on Windows 7 and Windows Embedded Compact, which introduces an interface for a tablet. The idea is similar to the one that Microsoft announced for the PC HTPC, or Media Center.
Macallan supports multi-tasking, multi-touch technology, Flash, and full support for cameras, and portable drives and SD cards. All this combined with a nicely designed UI will allow Windows to stand in iPadów compete with the software. Interestingly, the manufacturer announced that the first device to debut Macallan already on board in early autumn this year. The project is currently in early beta, but should soon be completed.
