Resistance 3 is the third sequel to the best-selling PS3 launch title Resistance: Fall of Man and will be based in New York City. The game will be released worldwide sometime in 2011 and was officially announced at Gamescom 2010 after much speculation and rumors.
The display featuring a man running for a train in an olden-style sepia lens movie, hinting about the even more action-oriented feel of the game as well as bloodthirsty aliens all over the place. Kinda like a busy Saturday at your local McDonald’s. They also held a little conference lead by SCEE President and CEO Andrew House that talked of other games from the brand to come soon like Ratchet and Clank and Motorsport Apocalypse.
Gamers have been hounding Insomniac Games to spill the details on Resistance 3 after several events which essentially confirmed its existence early on. On October 11th, 2009, a billboard was spotted in Shreveport, Louisiana, bearing the text “Resistance 3″. The billboard was seen on the set of the movie Battle: Los Angeles, which was being produced by Columbia Pictures. Columbia Pictures is owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment. When asked to comment by IGN.com, Insomniac Games said “We’ve made no announcements at this time.”.
