NEC has added a new member to its family of 23? monitors with the new eco-friendly NEC E231W LED monitor. This new monitor boasts of a DisplayPort with full 1080p resolution and an ambient light censor.
The new NEC E231W monitor is also energy efficient, consuming less power at only 28W. The monitor costs only $299(Check out new prices and buy it from Amazon), which is extremely reasonable.
Other highlights of the NEC E231W LED monitor include 250 nits of brightness, a 1,000:1 contrast ratio, 4-way adjustability and a 3 year warranty. The Multisync E231W uses an LED-backlit panel to increase energy savings by up to 40 percent in comparison to conventional CCFL-backlit LCD monitors. This is especially beneficial for our business customers in this economic downturn.
Among the features of NEC MultiSync E231W be noted technology support Intelligent Power Manager (IPM), making it possible to significantly reduce power consumption device. In addition, the monitor has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixel response time of 5 ms and a maximum brightness of 250 cd/m2.
One of the standout features of the NEC MultiSync PA271W was the carbon footprint meter. On the PA271W, the meter estimates how much power you’re using at any given time. No word yet if the version on the E231W is as robust, however.
The NEC E231W LED Monitor is set to be released later this month and should be a great display alternative for people seeking to replace or upgrade their old monitors, particularly the ones which eat up a lot of juice.
