Baseball’s best players will take center stage Tuesday in Anaheim at the All- Star Game, and if the trend continues as in recent years, the American League will again gain home-field advantage for the World Series. The AL has not lost to the National League since 1996, when the contest was held in Philadelphia. It’s been tough-sledding for the NL, which has come up short by one run each of the last four All-Star Games. Colorado Rockies right-hander Ubaldo Jimenez and Tampa Bay Rays lefty David Price have been selected as the starting pitchers. Both will be the first from their respective clubs to start an All-Star Game.
