HTC will be finally be rolling out Android 2.2 Froyo updates this weekend. Well, that is for owners of the HTC Desire in Europe.
HTC has added a few of its own touches to the update, including a revamped caller ID app, an App Sharing widget, and support for 720p video recording. iTunes support will also be included through HTC Sync. The update is expected to be pushed out over the air to unlocked versions, with carrier branded updates expected in the following weeks.
Operator-customized versions of the Desire will get the Android 2.2 update in the next few weeks, as there’s still some testing going on there.
