BlueAnt has a bunch of Bluetooth headsets and hands free kits that it has been offering for a long time. I have played with a bunch of the firms gear over the years and the stuff is typically top notch. BlueAnt has announced the availability of its latest Bluetooth headset called the Q2.
Like the other BlueAnt headsets, the Q2 has an excellent voice control interface, an integrated text-to-speech feature that will announce incoming caller names if they’re in your phone book, wind resistance of up to 22 mph, integration with BING 411, A2DP audio, and multipoint connectivity. Interestingly, the Q2 is also compatible with a free Android app that’ll read out SMS messages to you.
The headset can respond to multiple voice commands like “answer” or “ignore”. Users can say “phone commands” to activate the voice calling features. The headset can also read the name of the person calling using a new caller name announce feature that reads from a database of up to 2000 mobile contacts. Talk time is up to five hours and standby is up to 100 hours.
Additionally, BlueAnt has taken noise reduction to the next level with the introduction of Wind Armour Technology™. Based on years of research into wind noise performance, this unique solution combines patent-pending design features with BlueAnt’s advanced noise cancellation software to provide wind noise reduction at up to 22 miles per hour, which is twice the industry average. Dual microphones that utilize BlueAnt’s Voice Isolation Technology, as well as a precision-tuned 10mm speaker enable the Q2 to deliver unsurpassed call clarity and rich booming audio.
