The Portege R705-P25 is the latest edition to Toshiba’s Portege range, and it has a lot to live up to to match the other great models released with the Portege badge. However, with an unbelievably light 3.2 pound chassis and a great overall build quality, the Portege R705 may just be the best Portege ever made.
The Toshiba R700 series is a collection of ultra-portable notebooks that maintain powerful standard voltage Intel Core processors while offering a respectable battery life and weighing in at 3.2 pounds. The business focused R700 models begin at $999, but the consumer focused R705, or more specifically Toshiba R705-P25, is available from Best Buy for just $799.
The R705 packs a punch for its price with its 2.26GHz Intel Core i3-350M, 4GB of RAM and 500GB hard drive. The laptop has far more positives than negatives, the only issue seems to be with how hot the device runs – I am used to that, as I am the owner of a MacBook Air. As we mentioned above, Best Buy is offering the Toshiba Portege R705 for just $799.99
