Developer ZodTTD has been busy working on creating a PlayStation emulator for Android devices. The Android PlayStation emulator has been designed by ZodTTD along with help from the creator of NESoid and GameBoid.
It seems the two developers have teamed up to bring a PSX/PlayStation 1 emulator for Android that’s apparently “running faster than the 3GS version” and this is not considering performance improvements of Froyo. This is welcome news given the fact the PSX4all emulator currently available for iPhone is pretty much unusable.
In the past we’ve seen a wide array of different video game console emulators hit handhelds such as a Commodore 64 emulator for the iPhone and an SNES emulator for the Nokia N900. Both are very capable and classic video game consoles but neither are very hardware intensive with the graphics not reaching far past 2D images.
We also hear after the Android PlayStation Emulator is finished that an N64 emulator will then be worked on.
