Microsoft on Tuesday took the beta tags off its latest office suite and formally unveiled Office 2010, Visio 2010, and Project 2010.
The product is now available at 35,000 retail stores, including Best Buy, or online at Amazon.com, and can also be purchased preloaded on a variety of PCs.
The Home & Student version of the software is currently selling on Amazon for $129, compared to Microsoft’s $149 list price.
Amazon is also discounting other versions of Office 2010, though not by as much. The Home & Business edition is now $259, compared to the $279 list price, while the Professional version is down to $459, from $499. Check out new prices and buy it from Amazon.
Added features include new video and editing options in PowerPoint, updated text effects and table formatting in Word, advanced e-mail management and calendaring options in Outlook, co-authoring options in Word, PowerPoint, and OneNote, and a Web-based option via Office Web Apps.
