Motion gaming just got a whole lot crazier — or it will, if Forcetek’s Xio ever reaches the market. The gaming exoskeleton literally straps onto your arm and wrist like a prototype from Tony Stark’s lab, then translates the motion of your arm directly into video games. Besides offering input much more complex that the simple swishing motions of a Wii controller, the Xio will eventually be able to mimic force — like simulating the weight of a basketball in the hand — to reinforce muscle memory and more closely simulate the motions from the screen.
A first-look at FORCETEK’s XIO Virtual Gaming System coming in 2011.
