Vodafone UK appears to be set to launch several Android-based handsets, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini and Samsung Galaxy S i900, along with Samsung’s Wave.
The X10 Mini features a small form-factor, while providing standard smartphone features such as GPS and a five-megapixel camera. The Galaxy S packs a 4-inch touchscreen and allows users to shoot HD video, while 16GB of internal memory can be used to store media. The Wave features Samsung’s own Bada interface, displayed on a 800×480 Super AMOLED touchscreen.
Android 2.1 powered Galaxy S which is the DivX HD Certified Smartphone sports 4-inch Super AMOLED screen, 5MP camera and a 1 GHz ARM Cortex A8 processor paired with the hummingbird chipset for unheard of GPU performance that enables vibrant HD videos, rich augmented reality content through Layar Reality Browser, and advanced LBS (Location Based Services).
Vodafone UK has yet to announce pricing or launch dates for the upcoming handsets, although they are expected to ship sometime in June.
