MSI will showcase a tablet PC, the MSI Slatebook, based on Intel’s mobile internet device platform at Computex 2010, which will be held from June 1-6 in Taipei, Taiwan.
The MSI Slatebook will reportedly have an Intel Atom Z-series Menlow processor, a 10 inch touchscreen display, and integrated WiFi and 3G. It’s expected to sell for under $500, although there’s still no word on a release date.
MSI is also considering a tablet PC based on Nvidia’s Tegra 2 platform and will evaluate market demand before preceding with the launch. MSI’s Slatebook will also feature e-book reader capabilities.
