HP has added two new notebooks to its HP Envy range with the launch of the HP Envy 14 and HP Envy 17. The HP Envy 17 features a similar design to the HP Envy 15.
As their names suggest, the Envy 14 and Envy 17 are the 14-inch and 17-inch widescreen versions, respectively, and carry all of the same luxurious featues of the Envy 15.
Both of the new Envy notebooks feature Intel processors and ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5830 discrete graphics.
HP Envy 17 is Powered by Windows 7, the HP Envy 17 can be configured with Intel Dual Core i5 or Quad Core i7 processors, up to dual 1TB HDDs or dual 160GB SSDs, as well as up to 8GB DDR3-1333 memory. Furthermore, buyers can choose between a 1080p or 900p HD screen with a diagonal size of 17.3″.
Where as HP Envy 14 Powered by Windows 7, the HP Envy 14 can be configured with Intel Dual Core i5, i3 or Quad Core i7 processors, up to 640GB HDD or 256GB SSD, as well as up to 8GB DDR3-1333 memory. Furthermore, the HP Envy 14 incorporates a 14.5″ 900p screen (350nit brightness), DVD drive, Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n and an integrated Web camera. The HP Envy 14 also sports a Qualcomm Gobi chip, meaning that wireless broadband with GPS can be enabled when signing up for a wireless plan.
The HP Envy 14 will be available in the U.S. on June 27 with a starting price of $999.99. and The HP Envy 17 will be available in the U.S. on May 19 with a starting price of $1,399.99.
