Encipher Announced New 7 inch Android Tablet

The Nigeria and the UK based Encipher Limited has introduced a 7 inch tablet running Google Android. The company hoping to use this 7-inch slate to push their cloud computing services, such as Exchange, cloud-storage and backup, hosted desktops and VoIP. It’ll also be positioned as an ereader rival to Amazon’s Kindle.

The core mechanics of the this new slate is a paltry VIS8505 400MHz CP processor, 512 MB of RAM, and only 16GB of flash storage. Although with the processor, and the 800×400 LCD resolution it might not be enough to run HDMI, although the device does have a HDMI port. If you are looking at the internet aspect of the device it has 3G and WI-FI. Finally, it has 2 USB 2.0 ports in order to plug in flash drives, or external keyboards.

The operating system is Google Android 1.6 codenamed Donut.
