Cisco announces two lines of wireless routers: the Valet line, aimed at home users, and the E-Series, which offers advanced features like a built-in UPnP AV Media Server and simultaneous dual-band technology.
The Valet line comes in a standard and Plus model, retailing for $99.99 and $149.99, respectively. The Valet series also includes the Connector ($79.99), which upgrades an older computer to wireless and is a complement to Valet or Valet Plus. The E-Series comes in a variety of configurations ranging in price from $79.99 to $179.99.
The E-series includes four new Wireless-N routers: Linksys E1000, Linksys E2000, Linksys E2100L, and Linksys E3000. The E1000 is the budget router for people with light networking needs.
The new E-Series Cisco routers are available now. The budget router E1000 costs $80 and the top-of-the-line E3000 costs $180.
