On the 8th of April, 2010 Apple is possibly hosting an event at its Cupertino, Calif head quarters. This event might be held due to the demonstration of the iPhone OS. Reuters claim that the announcement by Apple would be a sneak peek of the upcoming software for the smart phone.
According to Engadget, a developer’s analytics shows three different iPhone OS 4.0 versions. That means Apple is either working on the future updates to iPhone OS 4.0 already or there would be multiple iPhone OS 4.x (where x stands for any single number) versions. It’s quite possible that three different versions of the same iPhone OS might be imminent due to basic hardware differences amongst various iPhone, iPod Touch models and the iPad.
The developers can build iPad applications with the iPhone OS 3.2. This OS includes an iPhone reference Library, iPad programming guide, Sample code as well as a Human Interface Guideline.
Actual launch of the software has run concurrent with Apple’s June or July release of new iPhone models.
